Key Responsibilities:- Manage the efficient operation of the service, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and policies.
- Assist in the assessment of children's needs and develop individualized plans to ensure the best possible service provision.
- Oversee the start-up process of the new service and contribute to its growth and development.
- Lead a team of support staff, ensuring the home meets all aspects of the Children's Act and National Minimum care standards.
- Conduct staff supervision, appraisals, and safer recruitment practices.
- Promote a safe, structured, and nurturing environment, encouraging independence and life skills development.
- Support staff in achieving the highest standards of care for children and young people.
- Coordinate and monitor casework and administrative functions, evaluating performance standards.
- Liaise with parents, carers, staff, and professionals to protect and safeguard children.
- QCF Level 5 diploma in Management and Leadership in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Competent IT skills and ideally, holding the Level 3 in Children and Young People Workforce qualification.
- Significant management experience in planning, development, and delivery of people-based services.
- A track record of achieving positive improvements and growth in service delivery and performance.
- Excellent knowledge of child protection procedures and experience in managing diverse budget lines.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in managing and supervising staff in children's social care and working in a residential setting.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience of Ofsted Inspections.
