Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Culinary Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our nursery team, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting age-appropriate food for all children on a daily basis. You will also take ownership of ensuring all dietary requirements are catered for and clearly communicated to the teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Preparing, cooking, and presenting healthy meals for children
  2. Taking responsibility for managing dietary requirements and communicating with the team
  3. Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment
  4. Leading cookery club sessions with children
  5. Supporting with other nursery activities, such as BBQs and staff meetings

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a cooking role, preferably in a domestic or commercial setting
  • A passion for nutrition and inspiring healthy eating habits
  • Food Safety CIEH L2 certification (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of COSHH and ability to manage different dietary requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, with colleagues, children, and parents
  • Ability to work under pressure
