Job Title: Year 6 Teacher Position

Wayman Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 6 teacher to join our vibrant and fun primary school in Croydon. As a proactive and emotionally intelligent educator, you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses.
  • Develop maths ability and introduce fractions, statistics, and geometry.
  • Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
  • Keep track of children's progress and occasionally report back to parents.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications (Experienced teachers as well as ECTs are welcome to apply).
  • Ability to commute to Croydon via public transport.
  • Experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2.
  • Confidence to hit the ground running, proactively lead a class, and manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies.
