Job Details

This is a part-time fixed-term contract for a Teaching Assistant to support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend to the welfare and personal care of pupils, including those with special educational needs.
  • Work with small groups or one-to-one to support pupils' learning.
  • Undertake general clerical and organisational support for the teacher.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with children and young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic IT skills and ability to use educational software.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a busy classroom environment and may be required to work outside of normal school hours, including before and after school and at lunchtimes.

Training and Development

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) and will be expected to participate in relevant training and development opportunities.
