Job Title: Senior Biomedical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Biomedical Engineer to join our team at Ergea UK and Ireland Limited. As a Senior Biomedical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing daily on-site repair, preventative maintenance, and asset management of medical devices within specified hospital locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on medical equipment as per manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Complete repairs as required on medical equipment as per manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Complete associated administrative work in closing repairs and PMs as outlined in the Ergea Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Travel to various sites as required to perform corrective and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain safe working practices within the hospital environment.
  • Exceed contract KPIs to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist junior biomedical engineers as needed.
  • Maintain spare part stock as necessary.
  • Directly support the site/team leader as required.
Additional Duties:
  • Scheduling and completing workload for assigned customers within the area.
  • Maintaining service documentation in line with business requirements.
  • Responsible for escalating and defining necessary resources to maintain equipment.
  • Liaise with 3rd party suppliers for spare part and contract quotations.
  • Ensure data integrity within Ergea management systems.
  • Responsible for delivering customer satisfaction.
  • Deal with OEM's service staff and management as needed.
  • Maintain tools and test equipment in line with Ergea standards.
  • Attend customer meetings as required.
  • Seek opportunities to grow Ergea's business.
  • Review ways to improve productivity and reduce operating expenditure.
  • Any other reasonable request or project request.
Requirements:
  • Certified OEM trainings.
  • Qualification in Engineering, BEng in Engineering, Electronics, or Medical Technologies such as Biomedical Engineering.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a biomedical setting.
  • Competent with a broad range of medical devices.
  • Patient monitoring, diathermies (electro surgery units), theatre tables, defibrillators, infusion & volumetric devices.
  • Anaesthesia equipment, ventilation devices.
  • Has worked in clinical areas and involving patient communication.
  • Minimum of 5 years' Biomedical experience.
  • 1-2 years of Biomedical experience in the UK.
  • English language proficiency.
Working Conditions:
  • Site-based role with UK travel.
  • International travel possible for training courses.
