Technical Sales Manager

Permanent Futures is seeking an experienced Technical Sales professional with a strong background in industry 4.0, IoT, automation, electronics, or IT/Software solutions. As a Technical Sales Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing your own sales strategy, with a focus on building and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, communicating new product propositions and delivering technical presentations to secure major contracts.
  2. Plan, prepare, and deliver responses to customer inquiries, including presentations and proposals.
  3. Maintain a customer relationship management database and provide regular sales reports to the Managing Director.
  4. Promote and develop the corporate image and reputation, contributing to the overall business development plan.
  5. Stay up-to-date with market conditions and provide market activity feedback to the Managing Director.
Requirements:
  1. Degree-qualified (or equivalent) preferred.
  2. Proven track record in a technical sales role within an engineering market sector, with experience selling advanced technology and complex engineered systems to engineers.
  3. Excellent proposal presentation skills and the ability to work independently in an autonomous role.
  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues at all levels.
