About the Role

Anderselite LTD is seeking a skilled Architectural Technician/ Technologist to join their team. As a key member of the design team, you will be responsible for delivering projects from planning and working drawing stages through to completion.

Job Description

The purpose of this role is to carry out duties as a Project/Architectural Technician under the supervision of the Team Leader. Your primary objectives include:

  • Liaising with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Coordinating with the design team to develop projects efficiently.
  • Designing and investigating production specifications.
  • Creating 3D models and developing 2D drawings and detail drawings from sketches.
  • Attending project meetings as required.
  • Ensuring compliance with 3D modeling and 2D drafting standards and best practices.
  • Interpreting project briefs and developing concepts.
  • Conducting site assessments and feasibility studies.
  • Compiling reports and liaising with other consultants and contractors.
Key Responsibilities (BIM)

As an Architectural Technician/Technologist in this role, you will also be responsible for:

  • Working with the BIM manager to develop project strategies.
  • Creating Archicad objects in response to project needs.
  • Attending clash detection meetings as required.
  • Resolving BIM design issues.
  • Communicating with subcontractors to receive, coordinate, and update project electronic models.
Knowledge and Skills

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Good knowledge of technical and construction information relevant to building types.
  • Computer literacy, including email, word processing, spreadsheet, and Archicad.
  • Able to programme work effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised and proactive ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Good knowledge of or willingness to learn statutory legislation and procedures.
  • Sufficient competence to fulfil the duties of a Designer under the CDM regulations.
