About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to join our delivery teams, working on exciting digital programs for clients across various industries. As a Platform Engineer, you'll design, build, and maintain the delivery infrastructure, systems, and processes that underpin our technology transformation engagements.

You'll lead the adoption of modern platforms and ways of working, working closely with developers, architects, designers, analysts, and product owners to deliver automation, tooling, and cloud infrastructure. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping us drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy cloud environments in Azure, leveraging your commercial experience and expertise.
  • Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and AKS.
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, ARM Templates, Helm, or Pulumi.
  • Configure pipeline build/deploy tools such as Azure DevOps, TFS, or Jenkins.
  • Develop automation and scripting using tools like PowerShell, AZ CLI, Python, Bash, Ruby, or Groovy.
  • Implement configuration management technologies like DSC, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack, or Ansible.
  • Design and implement logging and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, Azure App Insights, New Relic, or Datadog.
  • Develop knowledge of cloud platform design patterns and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with common database and caching technologies, such as Azure SQL, CosmosDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, Memcache, or Redis.
  • Develop skills in common programming languages used in modern web application development, such as C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Go, or PHP.
  • Experience with iterative/agile development methodologies and enabling team delivery through technology.
