We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Internal Auditor and Risk Advisor to join our Global Audit and Risk team at Royal Mail Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across the organization.

As a Lead Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for designing and executing risk-based audits, providing assurance and governance to senior stakeholders, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business transformation and strategic growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing risk-based audit plans to ensure effective risk management and governance
  • Conducting audits and providing recommendations to senior management and the Audit and Risk Committee
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, and implementing controls to ensure effective risk management
  • Providing assurance and governance to senior stakeholders, including the Audit and Risk Committee

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in internal auditing and risk management. Key qualifications and skills include:

  • Recognized CCAB qualification, IIA, or equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience in internal auditing and risk management, working under professional standards and best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and execute risk-based audits
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
