Are you passionate about environmental conservation and analysis? Do you have a strong academic foundation in ecology or extensive practical experience in an environmental role?

We are seeking an Ecologist to join our client, a top-tier consultancy providing specialist services to clients across the UK. As an Ecologist, you will apply your expertise in conducting wildlife surveys, identifying plant species, and using software such as Kaleidoscope, QGIS, or CorelDRAW for UKHab assessments, Biodiversity Net Gain calculations, and surveys for protected species.

This hybrid role offers flexibility, allowing you to work remotely with occasional visits to either Worcestershire or Hertfordshire offices. The role will also involve regular site visits, requiring a valid UK driving licence.

A competitive salary of £40,000-£60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Solid experience in wildlife surveys and plant identification
  • A strong academic foundation in ecology or significant practical experience in an environmental role
  • Familiarity with software like Kaleidoscope, QGIS, or CorelDRAW
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation, planning processes, EIAs, and HRAs
  • A full UK driving licence is essential
