We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Shift Manager to join our team at Crossways Recruitment Ltd.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day running of our busy warehouse facility, reporting to the Warehouse Manager and other key contacts within the business.

This is a new role, and therefore, the ideal candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills, as well as a background in warehouse management. The role will offer plenty of opportunities for growth and development, and the right person will have a great understanding of the running of operations and logistics within a warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage the loading and unloading of vehicles to meet strict deadlines
  • Accurately count stock on and off vehicles
  • Ensure the security of the premises
  • Plan and manage the rota for the warehouse team
  • Train and develop the team, including in-house training
  • Deputise for the Warehouse Manager as required
  • Ensure a seamless handover to the day crew
  • Adhere to internal warehouse policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • A proven background in large warehouse supervision or management
  • Ability to manage a team
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
