We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Construction Specialist to join our team at Sphere Solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, industrial construction, and project management.

The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the development of detailed designs for the arc furnace foundation and surrounding infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and local building codes, conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments, and supervising civil construction activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development of detailed designs for the arc furnace foundation and surrounding infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and local building codes
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments
  • Supervise civil construction activities, including excavation, concrete pouring, and steel reinforcement
  • Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure timely and quality execution of civil works
  • Monitor site safety and enforce adherence to safety protocols

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial or heavy construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of structural analysis, soil mechanics, and reinforced concrete design
  • Familiarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
