About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our client's Europe team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the monthly, quarterly, and yearly close alongside the Financial Controller.

The Financial Accountant will work closely with multiple European entities and locations, acting as a bridge between them and the central finance team.

About the Client

The client is a global asset management company with a presence across the world. They are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their European team and partner with 18 different locations across the region.

The role reports directly to the Financial Controller and involves being the main point of contact for the 18 locations within the central finance function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Partnering with 18 locations across Europe
  • Weekly KPI reporting
  • Supporting the Regional Financial Controller with consolidated management accounts and reports
  • Cashflow forecasting and CAPEX submissions
  • Monthly financial reporting
  • Improving processes across the region and team
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
  • Reviewing statutory account submissions
  • Approving journal, bank payment, and transfer of funds
  • Ad hoc analysis
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role (Assistant Management/Financial Accountant)
  • Studying towards the ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualification (or Qualified By Experience)
  • Strong business partnering, financial reporting, and group consolidation experience
  • Excellent accounting knowledge
  • Prior working knowledge of the finance system Navision (desirable)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to speak another European language (desirable)
About the Offer

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000, plus additional benefits including a bonus (up to 10%), study support, and a wealth of progression prospects within the company and internationally.
