Role Overview:

The role as an Apprentice Payroll Administrator is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to work within a busy team based in Swindon. This is an ideal entry-level position for someone who would like a career in Payroll / Finance.

You will be given the opportunity to get involved in a multiple array of tasks whilst working towards your apprenticeship.

You will be contributing to the successful performance of the existing Finance Team, providing assistance and support to them in managing accounts. You will be supported to develop your accounting and administrative abilities and gain relevant skills and experience to further your career in finance and accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute payrolls and complete necessary reporting using Sage L50.
  • Work with Aged Debtor Reports to highlight areas of concern to the relevant parties.
  • Investigate, classify, and resolve queries that may arise.
  • Support other duties within the Finance Department to enrich your career in Finance.
  • Interact with customers and maintain good communication skills.
  • Manage multiple tasks and learn new skills.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and share sensitive information accurately and discreetly.
  • Complete coursework on time and to a high standard.

Requirements:

  • Be 16 years of age or older.
  • Hold a grade C or 4 GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English, or be willing to undertake Functional Skills as part of the course.
  • Have an understanding and/or interest in Accounting/Finance.
