Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior National Account Manager to join our team at Skin + Me. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for leading the commercial sales growth within our trading retail accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and Maintain Retailer Relationships:
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at major UK beauty and skincare retailers, including buying, trading, merchandising, and marketing teams.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure Skin + Me is perfectly positioned to deliver high levels of commercial success, brand visibility, and product exposure.
  • Commercial Negotiations:
    • Manage commercial negotiations with retailer buying and merchandising teams to secure optimal space and location, in-store visibility, and digital support.
  • Strategic Planning and Forecasting:
    • Build accurate net sales forecasts, meeting all financial deadlines and budget submissions, and flagging risks and opportunities in a timely and quantified manner.
    • Work closely with trade marketing, demand planning, and supply chain teams to ensure accurate forecasting for new product development (NPD) and core lines.
    • Develop and deliver an annual plan for each retailer, covering key launches, marketing moments, eventing, store/retailer animation, customer acquisition, and retention.
  • Management of Retail P&L and Internal Reporting:
    • Manage each account P&L, balancing investment with top-line opportunity, and monitor retailer profit contribution to achieve agreed profit margins.
    • Review product assortment and sales to maximize counter productivity in partnership with trade marketing.
    • Align trading plans with local teams to ensure a consistent and phased plan across all retailers within each region.
    • Provide weekly business recaps and monthly reports detailing sell-thru by SKU, rankings, productivity, stock & sales, and competitive analysis.
  • Leadership and Collaboration:
    • Lead weekly S.I.S.O calls with teams and monthly meetings to review business opportunities and make operational adjustments to deliver against the commercial plan.
    • Collaborate with visual merchandising to ensure all updates are executed in a timely manner and communicated to buying teams for retailer approval.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a similar role, preferably in the skincare industry.
  • Strong experience working with major UK beauty and skincare retailers.
  • A passion for skincare and beauty, with a deep understanding of the UK skincare market and trade marketing tactics.
  • Commercially-minded and driven by hitting targets.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple work streams simultaneously.
  • Confident communicator with strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • A strong analytical understanding of how to interpret data to measure success.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a self-starter who thrives in an environment that values individuals with a bias-for-action and execution.
