As an Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in developing and negotiating new and existing business within your authority, ensuring profitable underwriting and alignment with the company's strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and negotiate new and existing business within your authority, ensuring profitable underwriting and alignment with the company's strategy.
- Plan, prioritize, and manage your work to deliver agreed objectives and meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Use effective communication methods to support Ecclesiastical's right-first-time approach, maintaining successful internal and external relationships.
- Act on individual audit results and agreed action plans within agreed deadlines to improve your performance.
- Understand and operate within regulatory frameworks, identifying and escalating any risks to the business.
- Identify and address complaints in line with company policy.
- Expand your technical and niche knowledge through informal and formal means, including networking, industry press, and in-house training.
- Commercial insurance knowledge and experience.
- Qualified Cert CII or commitment to work towards within an agreed timescale.
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English at grade C or above, or equivalent.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- A proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Appropriate IT skills.
