Machine Repair Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing depot fleet assets to company and legislative standards. The salary for this role is approximately £45,000 per annum, plus benefits.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Workshop Service Manager in maintaining effective workshop operations and ensuring machine under repair KPIs are kept manageable.
- Undertake routine and complex repairs to machines at depot, adhering to manufacturer specifications and company policy.
- Work with the depot team to minimize machine downtime and maintain low KPIs.
- Act as an ambassador for the company, providing exceptional customer care and being polite at all times.
- Accurately complete relevant paperwork using Company's engineering system/application.
- Update system on machine status changes, such as PDI/PHI carried out, Machine under repair, 6 monthly statutory Inspection completed, etc.
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Health & Safety standards and policies.
- IPAF Operator Licence.
- Relevant general engineering maintenance qualification, preferably to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
- Experience of completing complex engineering repairs.
- Mature outlook and ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure.
- Understanding of excellent customer service.
- Experience in diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostics fault finding.
- Ability to use basic functions of the operating system (L-Vis) to complete tasks relevant to role.
