We are supporting a leading firm of chartered accountants based in Gravesend in their search for an experienced Audit Senior Manager.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position with partnership prospects on offer. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accountancy and audit services, supporting a varied portfolio of owner-managed business clients, and leading audits from planning through to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver accountancy and audit services to clients
  • Support a portfolio of owner-managed business clients
  • Lead audits from planning through to completion
  • Host and conduct pre-audit and post-audit meetings with clients
  • Provide accountancy advice and support to clients
  • Conduct client meetings for the presentation of final draft accounts
  • Lead and manage a small team of qualified and part-qualified accountants
  • Mentor the team and develop their skills
  • Contribute to the firm's growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients
Requirements
  • Qualified ACA or ACCA or equivalent
  • Min. 5+ years post-qualification experience in practice
  • Experience in accounts preparation, auditing SME-sized limited companies, taxation (corporate, business & personal)
  • Experience supervising staff
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
  • Excellent planning, organisation & deadline time keeping skills
  • Good computer skills
