TPF Recruitment's Search for an Audit Senior Manager

TPF Recruitment, a leading accountancy practice recruitment agency in Kent, is supporting a prominent firm of chartered Accountants in Gravesend in their search for an experienced Audit Senior Manager. This full-time, permanent position offers partnership prospects and will primarily focus on accounts and audit work, with the opportunity to adjust the levels based on the applicant's experience and aspirations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accountancy and audit services, supporting a varied portfolio of owner-managed business clients, and leading audits from planning through to completion. They will also host and conduct pre-audit and post-audit meetings with clients, provide accountancy advice and support, and conduct client meetings for the presentation of final draft accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality accountancy and audit services to clients.
  • Support a diverse portfolio of owner-managed business clients.
  • Lead audits from planning to completion, liaising with the team and client as necessary.
  • Host and conduct pre-audit and post-audit meetings with clients.
  • Provide accountancy advice and support to clients.
  • Conduct client meetings for the presentation of final draft accounts.
  • Lead and manage a small team of qualified and part-qualified accountants.
  • Mentor the team, reviewing their work and encouraging prompt and high-quality delivery and service.
  • Develop and expand the team's skillset through development plans and training and support.
  • Contribute to the firm's growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients.

Requirements:

  • Qualified ACA or ACCA or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5+ years post-qualification experience in practice.
  • Experience in accounts preparation, auditing SME-sized limited companies, taxation (corporate, business & personal).
  • Experience supervising staff.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent planning, organisation & deadline time keeping skills.
  • Good computer skills.
