Teaching Role:
We are seeking an experienced Maths Teacher to join our Chesterfield site, delivering high-quality maths lessons and fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of mathematics. As a member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in inspiring and challenging students, promoting active learning and academic development.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging maths lessons aligned with the curriculum for KS3 and KS4, ensuring students develop their skills and confidence in the subject.
- Student Engagement: Use innovative teaching strategies to inspire a love for mathematics and promote active learning, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and respect.
- Assessment and Feedback: Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic development and foster a growth mindset.
- Classroom Management: Create a well-structured and organised classroom environment that promotes effective learning and minimises distractions, ensuring all students have access to quality education.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to enhance the maths department and contribute to the wider school community, sharing best practices and expertise to drive educational excellence.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A degree in Mathematics or a related field, combined with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching maths at KS3 and KS4 levels, with a strong subject knowledge and passion for mathematics education.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A commitment to fostering student achievement and well-being, with a focus on promoting social and emotional learning.
