Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic social worker to join our Kettering Adult Social Care Team as a Part-Time Social Work Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the duty function, screening safeguarding referrals, and supporting duty workers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the referrals waiting for allocation, prioritizing and managing risk, and allocate to staff.
  • Offer front-line supervision to assessment staff, including induction, performance management, absence management, and case monitoring and discussion.
  • Ratify and discuss decisions about care act eligibility, need for formal support, increases or decreases in care with a principal before relevant escalation.
  • Be an essential part of the overall performance of the team and the wellbeing of its staff, and be line managed by the team manager.

About the Role:

This is a part-time position, and hours of work can be negotiated. We are a welcoming and supportive team, and progression and training are actively encouraged. We are a new unitary council, established in April 2021, and our vision for North Northants is to be 'A place where everyone has the best opportunities and quality of life.'
