Oxford Ionics is at the forefront of quantum technology, and we're seeking a talented Quantum Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our experimental research efforts, you'll be responsible for designing, debugging, and executing custom experiments on our advanced quantum hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute custom experiments on our quantum hardware
  • Develop and implement innovative quantum gate schemes
  • Calibrate and optimize our quantum systems
  • Conduct rigorous benchmarking to assess system performance
  • Present findings to our research team

Requirements:

We're looking for a PhD holder in physics or a related field with a solid background in atomic or qubit-related physics. You should have at least three years of experience working on quantum control in a laboratory environment. Experiment and hardware control, as well as data analysis using Python, are valuable skills. We value ion-trapping experience, especially with a focus on quantum information and hands-on experience with the ARTIQ ecosystem.
