Job Title: Construction Skills Educator

We are seeking an experienced Construction Skills Educator to join our team at Novus. As a key member of our education team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training sessions in various construction trades, including Painting & Decorating, Plumbing, Joinery, and Bricklaying.

The role involves working with a group of up to 15 learners, engaging and motivating individuals to develop their skills, knowledge, and confidence in the construction field. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver practical training sessions, staying up-to-date with curriculum changes and best practices in functional skills education.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Experience working within any one or more of the following construction fields: Painting & Decorating, Bricklaying, Joinery.
  • At least 2 years' experience in the relevant vocational area.
  • A willingness to gain Award in Education within 6 months.
  • A commitment to gaining TAQA assessment qualification within probation.
  • A subject-specific qualification to allow them to train to Level 3 within 2 years.
  • A Level 1 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy or be willing to commit to gaining the qualification(s) within 1 year.
