Abacus Consulting Accountancy Support

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Assistant to join our dynamic accounts team at Abacus Consulting in Milton Keynes. As a Financial Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes, including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
Responsibilities:Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:
- Ensuring that invoices are settled within agreed credit terms
- Reviewing bank postings to identify any discrepancies or errors
- Making payments in accordance with company policy
- Raising urgent payment requests and cheque payments as needed
- Assisting with nominal ledger accounts reconciliation on a monthly basis
- Performing credit control processes to ensure timely payment of invoices
- Processing expenses and credit card transactions in line with company policy
- Closing financial month-end and year-end effectively and efficiently
- Preparing monthly and year-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable reports
In addition to these duties, the successful candidate will also assist with other ad-hoc tasks as required by the Finance Manager or Finance Controller.
Requirements:To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- Experience in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable duties
- A good basic understanding of Excel and Word
