We are seeking a talented Destination Development Manager to join our team in London. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to lead the development of our destination management programme, driving growth and innovation in the city's tourism industry.

Estimated Salary: £68,000 plus benefits

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of building effective partnerships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, businesses, and community groups. They will be responsible for creating and delivering a strategy that attracts new experiences, develops sustainability initiatives, and improves visitor infrastructure.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Create and deliver a destination management programme that drives growth and innovation in the city's tourism industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, businesses, and community groups.
  • Develop and manage partnerships to support key placemakers by defining and delivering key support programmes for data and insights, product development, and marketing.
  • Scope and manage new programmes and commercial opportunities to gain experience consumer spend in the city's leisure and visitor economy.
  • Work with the major events team to attract headline events and experiences to animate the city, helping put new destinations on the map and amplifying London's brand.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience of identifying, creating, and managing high-value partnerships with a strategic mindset able to think long-term and see the big picture.
  • Strong leadership, people management, and development skills with a proven ability to create a team environment that encourages ownership.
  • Evidence of a customer-first, data-led approach to placemaking.
  • Established relationships with stakeholders in London and nationally, from boroughs and business improvement districts to regional, national, and international commercial organisations.
