Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and caring teaching assistant to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs in a mainstream school based in Newport.

About the Role: As a teaching assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide individualized support to pupils with ALN, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with ALN in all daily tasks, including preparing the classroom for lessons and adapting resources to suit individual needs.
  • Engage and support pupils' learning, adapting to any situations that may arise and providing emotional and social support as needed.
  • Care for children's physical, emotional, and social welfare, which may include personal care.

  • Competitive daily pay rates starting at £83 per day, paid every Friday.
  • Sociable working hours of Monday-Friday 8.30am-3.30pm.
