About the Role

The Appoint Group is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager (Registered Nurse) to join our team at a care home in Berwick-upon-Tweed. As a Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for providing specialist nursing support and advice, taking responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager's absence, and supervising/coaching colleagues to provide a service that exceeds professional standards.

The care home offers a structured and thorough induction programme, which includes various training courses. You will have access to clear and structured development programmes where you can see clear pathways to progression within the care home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist nursing support and advice to residents and colleagues
  • Take responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager's absence
  • Supervise and coach colleagues to provide a high-quality service
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration with the NMC as a Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, or RNLD)
  • Experience in a care home or similar setting
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to providing high-quality care and service
