About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate advocate to join our team at Black Country Women's Aid. As a Sexual Assault and Abuse Advocate Navigator, you will provide vital support to victims of sexual abuse, helping them navigate the complex system and access the help they need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide trauma-informed support to victims of sexual abuse, including women, men, and children
  • Help clients navigate the system, accessing advocacy, civil remedies, and therapeutic interventions
  • Work closely with a multiagency partnership to shape services and influence change
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring the needs of clients are met

Requirements

  • Experience in support and advocacy, particularly with complex mental health needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of the system and services available to victims of sexual abuse
