Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Social Worker to join our team. This permanent position involves working on a 14-hour per week rota over a fixed 16-week period, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. As part of our dedicated team, you will respond to a wide range of needs across the Scottish Borders area.

Salary Information

The salary for this position is £41,130 - £45,130 per annum, plus a 26% EDT Allowance. Successful applicants will be placed on the first point of the salary scale unless they meet certain criteria.

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • An approved qualification in Social Work (e.g., DipSW)
  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
  • A current driving licence and use of a vehicle (or alternative arrangements can be made for individuals with disabilities)

Working Arrangements

This position requires flexible working, including overnight sleeping standbys and a 16-week rolling rota. You will have access to support from senior management and good working links with partner agencies, including Police and NHS.
