Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our cloud team in Sittingbourne. As a key member of our infrastructure department, you will play a crucial role in driving forward our large technology refresh programme across our entire estate with a Microsoft first strategy.

About the Role

You will work on our continued adoption of Azure and the M365 platform, with a focus on implementing Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Cloud migrations, Virtualisation, Security hardening, and other key projects. Your skills and experience will enable you to build and progress your career in an organisation that promotes from within.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using Azure and Microsoft cloud environments.
  • Develop and maintain cloud security controls to ensure the integrity and security of our systems.
  • Collaborate with our cloud team to deliver cloud-based projects and initiatives.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for Microsoft Azure and Office 365 systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and practical experience of cloud platforms like Azure.
  • Cloud cost control and optimisation.
  • Experience of supporting Microsoft Azure and Office 365 systems.
  • Experience of implementing Cloud security controls.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft cloud environments, including Azure, Office Admin, Teams, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Microsoft Security and Compliance, and Exchange Online.
  • Knowledge of Virtualisation using VMware or Hyper-V.

We offer a competitive salary of up to £50,000 depending on experience, a hybrid working model with 2 days on-site and 3 days from home, and continued training and professional development opportunities.
