Role Summary:
Medacs Healthcare is seeking a skilled Hematology Specialist Consultant to join our team at Kingston Hospital NHS Trust.
About the Role:
This full-time opportunity involves working as part of a cohesive team of dynamic, motivated, and progressive consultants in Haematology. As a Hematology Specialist Consultant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, ensuring excellent clinical outcomes, and contributing to the development of medical knowledge in Haematology.
Main Responsibilities:
- Diagnosis and Treatment: Provide accurate diagnosis, screening, treatment, preoperative, operative, and postoperative management of patient care.
- Patient Support: Actively support patients and their families by communicating clinical information effectively.
- Treatment Coordination: Coordinate treatment plans and prescribe various types of treatment.
- Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor and care for patients, recognizing and reviewing changes in their condition.
- Multidisciplinary Teamwork: Communicate with patients and the wider multidisciplinary team on shared patient decision making.
- Leadership: Work in and where appropriate, lead a multidisciplinary team.
- Clinical Judgement: Assess and prioritize patient/client requirements, delegating effectively to others.
- Research: Conduct research to help develop and test techniques and equipment that can improve procedures and outcomes.
- Educational Support: Help teach and train other junior doctors and medical students and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Requirements:
- GMC Registration: Be a GMC registered Doctor (you do NOT need to be on the Specialist Register).
- Relevant Experience: Have relevant experience at Consultant level, or references to support your transition up to Consultant level.
- Right to Work: Hold evidence of stand-alone Right to Work in the UK (unfortunately locum jobs aren't able to offer visa sponsorship).
- DBS Check: You will need to pass an enhanced background check (DBS).
