About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our procurement team at MacFarlane Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our business operations and ensuring the success of our procurement strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a large portfolio of new business and existing suppliers, ensuring that all suppliers adhere to quality, service, and best practice initiatives.
  • Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, challenging prices where relevant, to maximize profitability and minimize risk to the business.
  • Coordinating the management and development of the regional supplier base, ensuring that all suppliers meet the company's procurement strategy.
  • Assisting with tender activity, product enquiries, and ad-hoc project work, to support the business in achieving its goals.
  • Purchasing of standard and non-standard stock items, ensuring that all purchases are made in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Carrying out supplier benchmarking activities, to identify areas for improvement and ensure that the company is getting the best value from its suppliers.
  • Reporting and statistical analysis, to provide insights and recommendations to the business.
  • Upholding procurement strategy, to ensure that all procurement activities are aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
