Acute Medicine Specialist

Triple West Medical is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in General Medicine with a strong interest in Acute Medicine to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the medical take, performing post-take ward rounds, making specialty referrals, and caring for short-stay inpatients.
Key Responsibilities:- Medical Leadership: Oversee the medical take and ensure seamless handovers between shifts.
- Ward Rounds: Perform regular post-take ward rounds to assess patient progress and provide guidance to junior staff.
- Referrals: Make specialty referrals as necessary to ensure patients receive the best possible care.
- Patient Care: Care for short-stay inpatients for up to 48 hours on the EAU, facilitating timely discharge and follow-up plans.
- Ambulatory Care: Follow up patients as ambulatory care patients when required.
- Educational Supervision: Provide educational supervision to students and junior staff.
- Clinical Audits: Contribute to clinical audits and governance initiatives to improve patient care.
- Administration: Take on administration and budgetary responsibilities for the department.
- Qualifications: GMC Specialist Registration and MRCP.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Consultant in General Medicine with a strong interest in Acute Medicine.
