Pharmacy Aseptic Services Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to support the Pharmacy Aseptic Services in the provision of chemotherapy to patients within Whittington Health NHS Trust.
The successful candidate will have recent hospital or aseptic unit experience, good knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice, and excellent communication skills.
Main Duties
- Assist in the provision of a safe, efficient, and high-quality aseptic pharmacy service to the Trust's patients.
- Support the roles of and work under the supervision of the Chief Technician & Accountable Pharmacist.
- Participate in the writing, review, and update of Standard Operating Procedures and other Quality Assurance (QA) documentation.
- Liaise with pharmacists, production staff, and ward staff on a daily basis to help regulate and manage workflow efficiently.

Essential Criteria
- NVQ3
- Professional registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC (by start date)
Desirable Criteria
- ACPT and/or PAAP accreditation

Experience
Essential Criteria
- Recent hospital or aseptic unit experience
- Knowledge of cytotoxic handling
- Knowledge of efficient stock control e.g. stock rotation, ordering
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of manufacturing aseptically prepared products in an isolator, including validations
- Experience of working in a large multidisciplinary team
