Nuclear Policy Analyst

We are looking for a highly skilled Nuclear Policy Analyst to join our Site Safety Case Team at BAE Systems. In this role, you will play a crucial role in the development of safety cases for nuclear sites, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and contributing to the UK's security efforts.
With a strong background in nuclear policy and regulation, you will provide expert guidance on the development of safety case structures, processes, and analytical methods. Your expertise will ensure that our safety cases meet the highest standards and regulations.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects, including the Astute- and Dreadnought-class submarines, and contribute to the UK's security efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain effective safety cases for nuclear sites.
- Provide expert guidance on safety case development processes and analytical methods.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the development of training packages and deliver training sessions to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent experience.
- Extensive knowledge of UK nuclear legislation, industry guidance, and good practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
As a valued member of our team, you will receive a competitive salary of £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a pension scheme, annual leave allowance, and access to additional perks such as flexible working, employee assistance programmes, and Cycle2work schemes.
