About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced chief quantitative analyst to join our team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of quantitative solutions and analytical tools to support the risk management and research insights processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantitative finance and experience leading teams of quants and developers. They should also have a track record of delivering innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment and staying up-to-date with industry advancements in technology and quantitative methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the CIO and investment team to integrate technology and fundamental-quant research into all aspects of the investment process.
  • Lead a team of quantitative analysts and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Design and implement quantitative solutions and analytical tools to support the risk management and research insights processes.
  • Refine trading models using statistical analysis and mathematical concepts.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, advancements in quant finance, emerging technologies, and innovation.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years' experience delivering quantitative solutions in a fundamental quant investment environment.
  • Strong leadership skills to lead a team of quants and developers.
  • Proficiency in Python/R and a track record of operating in a modern data architecture environment.
  • Expertise in both quant and fundamental nomenclature and of working effectively with a fundamental investment team.
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their applications in quantitative solutions.
  • Good knowledge of Equity trading, Long-short, and risk management.
  • A PhD or master's from a top-tier university in a quantitative field.

Estimated Salary: £150,000 - £220,000 per annum, depending on experience.
