Job Title: Commercial Contracts ManagerIn this role, you will be part of a team of over 1,400 people delivering unique capabilities across air, land, sea, space, and cyber for military, security, and commercial customers worldwide.

Our team is responsible for providing commercial expertise to ensure the financial and commercial interests of the company are optimized, contractual obligations are met, and associated risks are highlighted and actively managed.
The Commercial and Contract Management Expert will draft, review, and oversee the commercial terms of bids, contracts, and agreements, lead negotiations, and ensure stakeholders are informed of the terms of the contract and made aware of the risks/opportunities identified therein.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in reviewing and negotiating contract terms and conditions within a commercial environment, managing customer contracts and/or subcontractor contracts, and ability to undertake international travel.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analysing and evaluating customer's Request for Proposals or Tenders providing relevant input to stakeholders (programme management, engineering, quality, subcontracts, procurement, etc.)
- Drafting, negotiating with customer, and managing all Commercial and Contractual aspects of the engagement while ensuring compliance with required corporate governance and approvals
- Managing the pre and post-contract commercial administration of Customer Contracts which may include management of risk, compliance, KPI drafting and maintenance, review of applications for payment, progress review meetings, etc.
- Ensuring all tasks are delivered to optimise returns and minimise risk
- Reviewing, highlighting, and addressing any commercial risk areas and addressing these with the relevant owners
- Providing weekly/monthly Commercial reports as necessary
- Customer relationship management: acting as a focal point for customer correspondence, including but not limited to proposal reviews, post-award engagements such as change orders, terminations, novation/name changes, and other contract-related matters
- Representing the company at client/supplier meetings, which may involve international travel
A degree in a Business or Law-related subject and typically 7+ years demonstrable working knowledge and first-hand experience of commercial management are essential.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial risk and the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
