Puratos Night Hygiene Team Leader Job Description

Position Overview

Puratos, a leading food manufacturer, is seeking a Night Hygiene Team Leader to join our team at our Simonswood site. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective, safe, and controlled running of the hygiene function, reporting to the Factory Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the hygiene team, ensuring cleaning schedules and procedures are completed according to timescales, SOPs, and safety controls.
  • Investigate and resolve non-conformances, issues, or queries in a timely and effective manner.
  • Brief and train team members to required standards.
  • Escalate issues to the management team as necessary and play an active role in problem resolution.
  • Provide a thorough handover to Production at the end of the shift.
  • Represent Puratos as the most senior person on the night shift, liaising with internal and external parties.

Requirements

  • Prior experience (3 years+) of hygiene control and compliance within food manufacturing or a relevant production environment/industry.
  • Food Safety and HACCP qualifications at Level 2 or above.
  • IOSH or equivalent H&S qualification.
  • Team Leader/Management qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Confident user of computers and new technology.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven team player, able to work collaboratively at all levels and build partnerships with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and methodical worker with strong organisation skills.
