Responsibilities

The Night Hygiene Team Leader will be responsible for the effective, safe, and controlled running of the hygiene function, reporting to the Factory Manager. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervision and first-line management of the hygiene team
  • Ensuring cleaning schedules and procedures are completed according to timescales, SOPs, and safety controls
  • Reporting, investigating, and resolving non-conformances, issues, or queries in a timely and effective manner
  • Briefing and training team members to required standards
  • Escalating issues to the management team as appropriate and playing an active role in problem resolution
  • Providing a thorough handover to Production at the end of the shift
  • Representing Puratos as the most senior person on the night shift, including liaison with internal and external parties

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Prior experience (3 years+) of hygiene control and compliance within food manufacturing or a relevant production environment/industry
  • Food Safety and HACCP qualifications at Level 2 or above
  • IOSH or equivalent H&S qualification
  • Team Leader/Management qualification at Level 3 or above
  • Confident computer user with new technology skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven team player with ability to work collaboratively at all levels and build partnerships with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent attention to detail and methodical work with strong organization skills
