We are recruiting for an Advanced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.

About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional to work in a split post as part of the Acute Inpatients and Head & Neck/ENT teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patients with dysphagia on an acute inpatient caseload and delivering speech and language therapy to adults with a wide range of swallowing and communication disorders.

The role will be based at both Tunbridge Wells Hospital and Maidstone Hospital sites, offering opportunities to develop skills and expertise in a dynamic environment.

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with post graduate experience of working with clients with H&N ENT swallowing and/or communication disorders. The ideal candidate will have detailed knowledge of Oncology treatment approaches and known side-effects to include Immunotherapy.

Responsibilities will include managing patients with dysphagia, delivering speech and language therapy, and providing training and specialist advice to external agencies.

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree or postgraduate diploma in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Registered member of HPC
  • Post qualification in Dysphagia
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD/reflective practice

Desirable Requirements:

  • Registered member of RCSLT

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
