About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in General Adult Community. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessments, formulating biopsychosocial care plans, and offering evidence-based treatment and advice.
The successful candidate will be based at Waverley Road, St Albans, and will work closely with our community teams covering the NW quadrant of Hertfordshire. You will be expected to manage, appraise, and give professional supervision to junior medical staff, ensuring they operate within the parameters of the New Deal and are Working Time Directive compliant.
Main Responsibilities
- To manage and appraise junior medical staff, providing professional supervision and guidance.
- To ensure junior medical staff operate within the parameters of the New Deal and are Working Time Directive compliant.
- To undertake administrative duties associated with patient care, including recording clinical activity and submitting reports to the Information Department.
- To participate in service and business planning activity for the locality and contribute to the development of the mental health service.
- To participate in annual appraisal for consultants and contribute to the development of the service.
