Job Title: Senior Drainage and Wastewater Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Drainage and Wastewater Planner to join our team. As a key member of our Environment and Business department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of Drainage and Wastewater Management Plans (DWMPs) for water companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Principal Drainage and Wastewater Planner in providing technical advice and guidance on DWMPs.
  • Review and respond to draft and final DWMPs and annual reviews.
  • Build strong relationships with local water and sewerage companies, stakeholders, and operational teams to ensure the development of robust DWMPs.
  • Escalate risks and issues and work with other teams and departments across the Environment Agency.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of drainage, surface water, wastewater engineering, wastewater treatment, and/or sewerage systems.
  • Experience of partnering and building relationships, acting as a key interface with customers.
  • Eye for detail and ability to examine and analyze data, presenting facts and findings in a logical and well-structured manner.
