About the Opportunity



We're seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Copper Fields School in Gunnislake.



As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the young people in our care, ensuring their physical, mental, and emotional needs are met.



You will assist with lesson preparation, provide companionship and support to the students, and participate in learning activities.



The ideal candidate will be able to de-escalate challenging situations and develop proactive strategies to prevent similar situations in the future.



Key Responsibilities




  • Provide a safe and healthy environment for the pupils to thrive and develop their independence


  • Promote and celebrate diversity


  • Safeguard all pupils and support them with their individual and personal needs


  • Support and facilitate the learning of students


  • Follow school policy and procedures for recording and reporting

About Our School



Copper Fields School is a new Options Autism school in Gunnislake, Cornwall, which will provide education for 60 pupils aged 4-16 years old.
