Job Overview

Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Materials Technology Manager to lead our highly specialized team of metallurgists, non-metallics, and welding engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of experts in metallurgy, materials science, and welding to ensure technical mentoring standards are met.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including Rolls Royce, departmental managers, and the Ministry Of Defence, to drive project success.
  • Oversee the Materials, Corrosion, and Welding authorities, ensuring compliance with Defence Standards.
  • Contribute to the peer review of work leaving the department, promoting excellence and quality.

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or Welding.
  • Proven experience in research and development projects, project management, and UKAS laboratory environments.
  • Chartership or evidence of working towards a Chartership is highly desirable.
