Educational Support Specialist

The Educational Support Specialist will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver learning opportunities with young people in Perth City.
As a key member of the team, you will be expected to work on an individual and group work basis with young people, in Navigate or their school/community, to support them to reach their potential and transition back into school or to a positive post-school destination.
Requirements- A degree in Primary or Secondary Education is essential.
- Postgraduate qualifications in working with young people with Additional Support Needs are desirable.
You must have a valid UK driving licence as this role requires you to travel to various locations across Perth and Kinross.
About YouWe are looking for an experienced teacher who has extensive experience in building positive, trusting relationships with young people.
You should have a background in working with secondary-aged young people and be able to deliver a flexible, adaptive, and inclusive education, taking into account the interests and aptitudes of young people.
You should also have knowledge and experience of using a range of strategies in supporting young people, such as trauma-informed and relationship-based practice, self-regulation, and restorative approaches.
Please note that we offer a competitive salary of £32,994 per annum, depending on experience.
