About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cafe Manager to join our team at Tesco. As a Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our cafe, including managing a team of staff, maintaining high standards of customer service, and ensuring the cafe is clean, tidy, and organized.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall running of the cafe, including routines, processes, sales standards, and changes, where necessary.
• Hold full profit and loss accountability for the cafe.
• Maximize sales, impact, and presentation in the cafe, and ensure everything is safe and legal for customers and colleagues.
• Lead your team and inspire them to hit sales targets.
• Understand the key drivers of our service plan and deliver to the standard required.
• Select, train, and develop team members to enable them to feel proud of the work they do.
• Act as a cafe menu expert who can share knowledge with the team.
• Ensure customers are served quickly and that they receive high-quality food and drinks in a clean, tidy environment.

Requirements

• A background in hospitality, at supervisory level and above.
• A commitment to excellent customer service.
• People management skills that allow you to lead by example and coach in an inclusive manner.
