About Us

">The Wildlife Trusts Mission

We are a federation of 46 charities, supported by a central charity, the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts. Our mission is to restore and care for some of the most special places for wildlife in the UK.

From precious peatlands and wildflower meadows to Britain's lost rainforests, we've re-wiggled rivers, brought back beavers to the UK and helped thousands of communities take matters into their own hands to bring back nature on their doorsteps.

We manage over 2,600 nature reserves, operate 123 visitor and education centres and own 29 working farms. We undertake research, campaign for wildlife and wild places under threat, and help people access nature.

We value passion, respect, trust, integrity, pragmatic activism and strength in diversity. We encourage applications from underrepresented groups, including minority backgrounds and people with disabilities.

We're a Disability Confident employer and committed to offering an interview to anyone with a disability that meets all the essential criteria. We also offer adjustments to make our recruitment process more accessible.

Our Levelling the Field recruitment pledge aims to increase staff diversity. Ethnic minority applicants will be put through to the next stage if they meet all the essential criteria.

Working with us means being part of a team that makes a real difference to the environment. With a salary range of £35,000 - £45,000 per year, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to our mission while developing your skills and career.
