Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lecturer Practitioner to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and training to our nursing staff, with a focus on paediatric intensive care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver educational programs for nursing staff, including lectures, workshops, and online modules
- Assess and evaluate the learning needs of nursing staff and develop tailored educational plans
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure that educational programs are relevant and effective
- Conduct research and evaluate the impact of educational programs on patient outcomes
- Develop and maintain relationships with academic institutions and other healthcare organizations to stay up-to-date with best practices in paediatric intensive care education
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RSCN/RN) with a recognized intensive care course and relevant higher degree (Masters/Post Grad Diploma)
- Experience as a mentor/preceptor and in development of staff, including formal teaching
- Excellent clinical and teaching skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with service and education partners
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups and individuals
- Ability to access and use evidence/research to inform practice
