About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing and Logistics Manager to join our team at Gi Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the procurement and inventory control processes, ensuring seamless logistics and transportation of goods and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchasing:
- Negotiate and agree contracts with suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery.
- Source new vendors and maintain excellent relationships with existing suppliers.
- Enter purchase orders and manage daily administration tasks related to procurement.
- Maintain regular communications with suppliers to monitor pricing and lead times.
- Inventory Control:
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and perform regular stock checks.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize stock discrepancies.
- Manage chemical and proppant inventory, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Logistics:
- Manage transportation demands, including shipping and freight forwarding.
- Issue commercial invoices and manifests for local shipments and imports/exports.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as NORSOK and DNV.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in purchasing and supply chain management.
- Strong inventory control and logistics skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of insurance and marine hydraulic fracturing.
- Knowledge of Sage 200 Procurement and Inventory Systems.
