About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing and Logistics Manager to join our team at Gi Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the procurement and inventory control processes, ensuring seamless logistics and transportation of goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing:
    • Negotiate and agree contracts with suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery.
    • Source new vendors and maintain excellent relationships with existing suppliers.
    • Enter purchase orders and manage daily administration tasks related to procurement.
    • Maintain regular communications with suppliers to monitor pricing and lead times.
  • Inventory Control:
    • Maintain accurate inventory levels and perform regular stock checks.
    • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize stock discrepancies.
    • Manage chemical and proppant inventory, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Logistics:
    • Manage transportation demands, including shipping and freight forwarding.
    • Issue commercial invoices and manifests for local shipments and imports/exports.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as NORSOK and DNV.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in purchasing and supply chain management.
  • Strong inventory control and logistics skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of insurance and marine hydraulic fracturing.
  • Knowledge of Sage 200 Procurement and Inventory Systems.
