Event Coordinator
The Institute of Acoustics is seeking a skilled Event Coordinator to join their team. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for the administration of conferences and one-day meetings in liaison with volunteer specialists planning the programme for the event.
You will work closely with the Marketing Manager to promote events through the website and social media. The Institute is investing in a new website and its digital presence, and the Event Coordinator will have a significant role in supporting the Marketing Manager in using digital media to raise awareness of acoustics, the Institute, and our events.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of organizing events, influencing, and communication skills, including working with volunteers. They will also have tact and the ability to liaise with key stakeholders, energy and enthusiasm, and a 'can do' attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administration of conferences and one-day meetings
- Working with the Marketing Manager to promote events
- Supporting the Marketing Manager in using digital media
- Day-to-day management of website content
Requirements:
- Experienced in event organization
- Proven track record of influencing and communication skills
- Tact and ability to liaise with key stakeholders
- Energy and enthusiasm
- Computer literate with good Word and Excel skills
Benefits:

Location: Milton Keynes
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per year depending on experience
